Fire at Cosmo School in Mirpur brought under control

A fire broke out at the ground floor of the private educational institution, Cosmo School, around 1 PM on Wednesday. Fire service teams promptly responded, deploying two units to the scene.

After nearly an hour of intense effort, the fire was successfully brought under control by approximately 2 PM. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

The five-story building was engulfed in thick smoke, hampering rescue and firefighting operations. Initial investigations suggest that the fire originated in the school’s generator room.

The area is currently secured and under the control of the military authorities.
