Fire at multi-storey building in Mirpur brought under control
A fire that broke out on the third floor of an 11-storey commercial building at Mirpur-2 in the capital has been brought under control. Six units of the Fire Service worked to douse the flames.
Fire Service Headquarters Media Cell official Talha Bin Jasim said the fire was brought under control at 3:22 pm on Monday, March 9.
He said, "Our six units worked and brought the fire under control at 3:22 pm. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage are not yet known. A total of 23 people have been rescued from the building. Among them are 13 men and 10 women."
Earlier, the Fire Service received news of this fire at 1:52 pm on Monday.
