Fire breaks out at govt officers' quarters in Mirpur, 6 units working to douse blaze

A fire broke out in the basement of the government officers' quarters in Mirpur-6, capital, on Monday evening, July 6. Six fire service units are working to bring the blaze under control.

Fire Service and Civil Defence control room duty officer Rakibul Hasan confirmed the information.

He said the fire was reported at 8:02 pm at the government officers' quarters in Mirpur-6. The first fire service unit arrived at the scene at 8:14 pm and began efforts to control the fire. Currently, six units are operating at the scene.

The duty officer said the fire broke out in the basement of the building. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage are not yet known. No casualties have been reported so far.
