A fire has broken out in the Kalshi slum in the capital. Five units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence are working to bring the blaze under control. The Fire Service received information about the fire at 7:23 pm on Monday, May 25. Fire Service Headquarters Media Cell official Anwarul Islam Dolon confirmed the matter. He said two units initially responded to the scene, followed by three additional units, bringing the total to five. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be known immediately. No casualties have been reported so far.

রাজধানীর মিরপুরের কালশী বস্তিতে অগ্নিকাণ্ডের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে কাজ করছে ফায়ার সার্ভিসের পাঁচটি ইউনিট। সোমবার (২৫ মে) সন্ধ্যা ৭টা ২৩ মিনিটের সময় এই ঘটনা ঘটে। ফায়ার সার্ভিস সদর দপ্তরের মিডিয়া সেলের কর্মকর্তা আনোয়ারুল ইসলাম দোলন এ বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন। তিনি বলেন, সন্ধ্যা ৭টা ২৩ মিনিটে কালশী বস্তিতে আগুন লাগার খবর পাওয়া যায়। খবর পেয়ে প্রথমে দুটি ইউনিট ঘটনাস্থলে কাজ শুরু করে। পরে আরও তিনটি ইউনিট ঘটনাস্থলে পাঠানো হয়। বর্তমানে মোট পাঁচটি ইউনিট আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে কাজ করছে। ফায়ার সার্ভিসের এই কর্মকর্তা আরও বলেন, প্রাথমিকভাবে আগুন লাগার কারণ ও ক্ষয়ক্ষতির পরিমাণ জানা যায়নি। এছাড়া এখন পর্যন্ত হতাহতের কোনো তথ্য পাওয়া যায়নি।
