Fire erupts at ink factory in Demra, four units battle blaze
A fire has broken out at a tin-shed ink manufacturing factory in the Amulia Model Town area of the capital's Demra.
The Fire Service and Civil Defence said four units are currently working to bring the blaze under control.
According to the Fire Service control room, the fire was reported at around 11:38am on Thursday (April 30). Units from Demra and Siddiqbazar stations were immediately deployed to the scene.
Fire Service media officer Anwarul Haque confirmed the incident, saying firefighting operations are ongoing with four units engaged in containment efforts.
The cause of the fire could not be immediately determined. No casualties have been reported so far.
Authorities said efforts are underway to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent structures.
