Fire on running bus in Mirpur, Fire Service brings under control

A fire has broken out on a passenger bus in the Mirpur-11 area of the capital. No casualty has been reported immediately after fire broke out on the bus of Shikhor Paribahan on Saturday evening.

Fire broke out on the bus while it was running beside Jamjam Tower around 7:13pm on Saturday (September 19). After getting the news Fire Service quickly reached the spot and started working to bring the fire under control.

Duty officer of Fire Service control room Rashed Bin Khalid has confirmed the matter. He informed that two units of Fire Service were sent to the spot after receiving the news of fire on the bus at 7:13pm in the evening.

He said members of Fire Service are currently working to bring the fire under control. However how the fire originated on the bus could not be known immediately.

This Fire Service official has informed that no information of any casualty has been received so far in this incident. The concerned have said detailed information will be known after the fire is brought under control.
