Firing at Islami Bank head office leaves 5 injured

A firing incident at the Islami Bank head office in Dilkusha, Motijheel on Sunday (August 11) left at least five people seriously injured, including three who were shot.

The injured include Shafiullah, a storehouse guard; Mamun, an officer; and Abdur Rahman and Baki Billah, both associated with Islami Bank.

Several Islami Bank officials protested in front of the Islami Bank Tower against irregular loan scams. Approximately 100 armed individuals, including some from the S Alam group, tried to gain entry. When they were prevented from doing so, they opened fire.

Later, the attackers fled when the officers gave chase.
