Students of Dhaka University have celebrated the first dawn of the month of victory, December, like every year. Padakshep Bangladesh, an art, literature and culture-based organisation, organised a discussion and cultural programme on the occasion. The event organized at Swaparjito Swadhinata on DU campus, was attended by activists of cultural organisations and artists. The programme was presided over by President of Padakshep Bangladesh Badal Chowdhury. The event was inaugurated by the nation's best sons of soil freedom fighters. In the cultural segment, group dances were performed by Nrityaksha and Mandira Sangkritik Pathshala. Artistes from Padakshep Bangladesh and Surnandan Nazrul Sangeet Charcha Kendra rendered group songs at the event.

প্রতি বছরের মতো এবারও ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে উদযাপিত হয়েছে বিজয়ের মাসের প্রথম প্রভাত। রোববার (১ ডিসেম্বর) সকাল সাতটায় টিএসসি সড়কদ্বীপের স্বোপার্জিত স্বাধীনতায় আলোচনা ও সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করে শিল্প-সাহিত্য-সংস্কৃতির সৃজনশীল সংগঠন ‘পদক্ষেপ বাংলাদেশ’। অনুষ্ঠানের উদ্বোধন করেন জাতির শ্রেষ্ঠ সন্তান বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা। সভাপতিত্ব ও ঘোষণাপত্র পাঠ করেন সংগঠনের সভাপতি বাদল চৌধুরী। সাংস্কৃতিক আয়োজনে দলীয় নৃত্য পরিবেশন করে এক সাগর রক্তের বিনিময়ে গানের সাথে নৃত্যাক্ষ এবং রাঙামাটির রঙে চোখ জুড়ালো গানের সাথে মন্দিরা সাংস্কৃতিক পাঠশালা। দলীয় সঙ্গীত পর্বে ‘মুক্তির মন্দির সোপান তলে’ গান পরিবেশন করে পদক্ষেপ বাংলাদেশ। ‘ও ভাই খাঁটি সোনার চেয়ে খাঁটি’ ও ‘আমার দেশের মতো এমন দেশ’ গান দুটি গেয়ে শোনায় সুরনন্দন নজরুল সংগীত চর্চা কেন্দ্র। একক সঙ্গীত পর্বে মারুফ হোসেন ‘সূর্যোদয়ে তুমি সূর্যাস্তেও তুমি’ ও নূর মো. রাজু ‘মোরা একটি ফুলকে বাঁচাবো বলে’ গান পরিবেশন করেন। এ পর্বে আরও অংশ নেন মিতু রহমান ও নীলা হাসান। একক আবৃত্তি করেন- নায়লা তারান্নুম চৌধুরী কাকলি, সৈয়দ ইফতেখার আলী, তছলিম উদ্দিন সৌরভ ও ফরিদুজ্জামান। দলীয় আবৃত্তিতে অংশ নেয় কথা আবৃত্তি চর্চা কেন্দ্র, ঢাকা স্বরকল্পন, মুক্তধারা সংস্কৃতিচর্চা কেন্দ্র ও কণ্ঠশীলন।
