Five killed as bus and microbus collide head-on in Chakaria

Five people, including four women and a child, were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a microbus in Chakaria, Cox’s Bazar. All the deceased were passengers of the microbus, according to reports.

The accident occurred around 9:30 am on Wednesday, November 5, near the Pasiyakhali Army Camp area on the Cox’s Bazar–Chattogram Highway in Chakaria upazila.

The identities of the victims could not be confirmed immediately.

Chakaria Police Station Officer-in-Charge Touhidul Anwar confirmed the incident. He said, “Two people died on the spot, and three others were declared dead after being taken to hospital.”
