Five more children die with measles symptoms

Five more children have died with measles symptoms in the country over the past 24 hours. Among them, three died in Dhaka, one in Sylhet and one in Rangpur.

With this, a total of 825 children have died from measles and its symptoms since March 15. During the same period, 1,105 new children were infected with measles or its symptoms. Of them, 113 were confirmed with measles and 992 were infected with measles symptoms.

The Directorate General of Health Services provided this information in its measles report on Monday.

According to the DGHS, the total number of children infected with measles and its symptoms has reached 124,745, of whom 15,555 have been confirmed with measles. During the same period, 103,467 children have recovered and returned home, with 1,000 discharged in the last 24 hours.
