Fog disrupts ferry services on Daulatdia-Paturia route

The ferry movement between the Paturia-Daulatdia river route was suspended for two hours due to dense fog, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia Ghat sources said.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia Ghat Assistant General Manager (AGM) Abdus Salam said the ferry movement was suspended at 5:00 am as the river of the Padma was blanketed with dense fog which disrupted the visibility, adding that after two hours at 7:00 am the ferry movement was started after the fog disappeared.

During this period, all the nine ferries plied between Paturia-Daulatdia were anchored at Paturia Ghat as the dense fog was centralised at Paturia Ghat areas only,
