Former DU student dies on way to Dhaka for BCS viva

Sheikh Misha Khatun, a former student of Dhaka University, was killed after a bus of the Tungipara Express lost control and fell into a ditch in Gopalganj's Muksudpur. She was travelling from Khulna to Dhaka to appear for the viva voce of the 50th BCS examination. Two others were also killed in the accident.

The accident occurred on Sunday morning (September 6) around 10am on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in the Salinaboxa area of Muksudpur upazila.

Sheikh Misha Khatun was a student of the 35th batch of the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Dhaka University. Professionally, she was working as an examiner (chemical) at the Khulna office of the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI).

Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) expressed condolences over her death.
