Former Member of Parliament Dollar Siraj detained

Former lawmaker from Narsingdi-1 constituency, Awami Jubo League Presidium member and vice-president of Narsingdi district Awami League Sirajul Islam Molla alias Dollar Siraj have been arrested.

He was arrested on Monday (November 11) from the People's University in Asadgate area of ​​the capital. Siraj is the chairman of the university.

Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ali Iftekhar Hasan confirmed the matter.

He said the army arrested Sirajul Islam and handed over to the police station. There are two cases against him in Narayanganj. We have kept him in the police station. The police have been informed to show him arrest in the case. They will bring the car and take him. He is now detained in the police station.

It is reported that there was a special meeting at People's University today. Sirajul Islam came there to attend the meeting. The students later arrested him and handed him over to the army.
