Four Bangladeshis injured in drone attack on Kuwait airport, embassy issues alert
Four Bangladeshi nationals have been injured in a drone attack on Kuwait International Airport. Several other foreign nationals were also injured, and one person was killed in the attack, according to the Bangladesh embassy in Kuwait.
The embassy issued a press release on Wednesday, June 3, regarding the matter.
In the context of ongoing regional tensions in West Asia, several drone and missile attacks have occurred in Kuwait's airspace recently. In continuation of these events, a drone attack on Kuwait International Airport on June 3 left four Bangladeshis injured.
The injured have been admitted to Farwaniya Hospital in Kuwait. The embassy said it is regularly checking on their condition.
The embassy has called upon Bangladeshi nationals in Kuwait to remain vigilant and to follow directives issued by the Kuwaiti government.
Kuwaiti law prohibits filming or taking photographs of rocket or drone attacks and the scene of their interception. Violation of this law is a punishable offence. The embassy urged expatriate Bangladeshis to refrain from recording or sharing such images and videos on social media.
Additionally, due to the ongoing crisis, the central blood bank in Kuwait is facing a shortage of blood. The embassy has called upon capable Bangladeshi expatriates to donate blood at the central blood bank and to encourage others to do so as well.
