Four die after entering septic tank in Brahmanbaria

Four people have died after entering a septic tank at an under-construction building in Sarail upazila, Brahmanbaria.

The incident occurred around 4:15 pm on Wednesday, May 20, in the Galania village of Kalikacch union.

Sarail Police Station Officer-in-Charge Monjur Kader confirmed the matter to the media, stating that police were heading to the scene. The identities of the deceased could not be immediately confirmed.

Sarail Fire Service Station Leader Riaz Mohammad said firefighters had begun recovering the bodies. Preliminary reports suggest the accident may have been caused by toxic gas accumulation inside the septic tank, though confirmation will require investigation.
