Four eminent women to receive Begum Rokeya Padak 2025

Four distinguished women have been nominated for the Begum Rokeya Padak 2025 in recognition of their notable contributions in various fields.

The awardees are: Dr. Ruvana Rakib – Women’s Education (Research); Kalpana Akter – Women’s Rights (Labour Rights); Dr. Nabila Idris – Human Rights; Ritu Porna Chakma – Women’s Empowerment (Sports).

The Ministry of Women and Children Affairs finalised these nominations.

According to ministry sources, the nominations were approved following recommendations from meetings of the National Awards Advisory Committee held on November 27 and December 7.

The summary was later forwarded to the Chief Adviser, who has given final approval.
