The government has removed four trainee Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) from the police BCS (Police) cadre from service. A notification to this effect was issued from the Police-1 Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday, March 25. The notification, signed by order of the President, stated that four trainee ASPs of the 43rd batch of the BCS (Police) cadre have been removed from government service in accordance with the civil service recruitment rules. The officials removed are – Sajid Bin Kamal, Ratan Bala, Md Abdul Aziz and Tahmid Ahmed. The notification further stated that the decision will take effect immediately in the public interest.

পুলিশের বিসিএস (পুলিশ) ক্যাডারের চারজন শিক্ষানবিশ সহকারী পুলিশ সুপারকে (এএসপি) চাকরি থেকে অপসারণ করেছে সরকার। বুধবার (২৫ মার্চ) স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয় বাংলাদেশ-এর পুলিশ-১ শাখা থেকে এ সংক্রান্ত প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করা হয়। রাষ্ট্রপতির আদেশক্রমে স্বাক্ষরিত ওই প্রজ্ঞাপনে বলা হয়েছে, বিসিএস (পুলিশ) ক্যাডারের ৪৩তম ব্যাচের চারজন শিক্ষানবিশ এএসপিকে সিভিল সার্ভিস নিয়োগ নীতিমালা অনুযায়ী সরকারি চাকরি থেকে অপসারণ করা হয়েছে। অপসারিত কর্মকর্তারা হলেন—সাজিদ বিন কামাল, রতন বালা, মো. আব্দুল আজিজ এবং তাহমিদ আহমেদ। প্রজ্ঞাপনে আরও জানানো হয়, জনস্বার্থে এ সিদ্ধান্ত অবিলম্বে কার্যকর হবে।
