Four-day road closure in Mirpur for BCB polls and Australia series

The Prashika Road adjacent to the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur will remain closed for several days due to the Bangladesh Cricket Board director board election and the matches between Bangladesh and Australia national cricket teams. The public and vehicle drivers have been advised to use alternative routes.

According to a DMP public notice signed by Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed on Saturday, June 6, the BCB director board election and a practice match will be held on Sunday, June 7. Additionally, the first ODI will be held on June 9, the second on June 11 and the third on June 14.

Due to the matches and the election, Prashika Road adjacent to the stadium will remain closed from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on the specified dates. DMP has requested all vehicles heading towards Mirpur-1 to use alternative routes via Prashika Crossing to Shialbari Crossing, Rainkhola and Eidgah Field.

DMP has sought sincere cooperation from the public and vehicle drivers in this regard.
