A Dhaka-bound US-Bangla Airlines flight was stuck for about 26 minutes as a fox suddenly appeared on the runway of Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram. Airport Public Relations Officer Engineer Md. Ibrahim Khalil said that the US-106 flight was ready to take off at 11:40am on Wednesday. Just then, a fox came onto the runway. The inspection team quickly came in a car and chased the fox away and cleared the runway. Later, the flight took off at 12:06pm." He also said that before each flight takes off and lands, we inspect the runway. Since there are dense forests and bushes next to the runway, sometimes foxes, snakes or dogs suddenly come onto the runway.

চট্টগ্রামের শাহ আমানত আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দরের রানওয়েতে শিয়াল চলে আসার কারণে বুধবার সকালে প্রায় ২৬ মিনিট ধরে আটকে ছিল ঢাকাগামী ইউএস-বাংলা এয়ারলাইনসের একটি ফ্লাইট। বিমানবন্দরের জনসংযোগ কর্মকর্তা প্রকৌশলী মো. ইব্রাহিম খলিল জানান, ইউএস-১০৬ ফ্লাইটটি বেলা ১১টা ৪০ মিনিটে উড্ডয়নের জন্য প্রস্তুত ছিল। ঠিক তখনই রানওয়েতে একটি শিয়াল চলে আসে। পরিদর্শনকারী টিম দ্রুত গাড়ি নিয়ে এসে শেয়ালটিকে তাড়া করে রানওয়ে খালি করে। পরে ফ্লাইটটি ১২টা ৬ মিনিটে উড্ডয়ন করে। তিনি আরও বলেন, প্রতিটি ফ্লাইট উড্ডয়ন ও অবতরণের আগে আমরা রানওয়ে পরীক্ষা করি। রানওয়ের পাশে ঘন জঙ্গল ও ঝোপ থাকায় মাঝে মাঝে শিয়াল, সাপ বা কুকুর এসে পড়ে।
