According to a DB press release issued on Tuesday, the arrested suspect, Md. Ripon (30), was apprehended on Monday evening during a raid conducted by a team from the DB’s Tejgaon Division.
The incident occurred on the morning of August 12, around 9:40 AM, when a police sergeant on duty at Sonargaon Crossing noticed a man brandishing a knife. As the sergeant attempted to detain him, the suspect fled through the underpass beneath the Karwan Bazar metro rail station.
