Gano Forum president Mostafa Mohsin Montu passes away

Mostafa Mohsin Montu (79), the President of Gano Forum, has passed away. He died at 5:10 PM on Sunday (June 15) while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital.

Gano Forum leader Muhammad Ullah Madhu confirmed the news of his death to the media.

He informed that Mostafa Mohsin Montu’s funeral prayer (janaza) will be held tonight at 9 PM on Elephant Road.

BNP Media Cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan stated that BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir have expressed their condolences over Montu’s death.

He added that Mostafa Mohsin passed away at the age of 79 while receiving medical treatment.

During the previous tenure of the Awami League government, Montu was active on the streets. He also played a significant role in the formation of the Jatiya Oikya Front (National Unity Front).

BNP’s top two leaders have expressed their sympathies to the bereaved family.
