Garments officer killed in truck accident in Gazipur

A garment official named Sohag Mia, 27, was killed in a truck hit by a truck in the Gazipur metropolitan area.

The accident occurred on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in the Konabari College Gate area on Monday night.

Konabari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Iftekhar Hossain said that a truck hit a motorcycle and Sohag Mia fell on the road and died on the spot.

According to eyewitnesses, Sohag Mia was going from Chandra area towards Gazipur intersection on a motorcycle. At that time, the accident occurred.

The deceased Sohag Mia's home is in Rampur village of Durgapur police station in Netrokona. He was working in a garment factory in Chandra area of ​​Kaliakoir upazila.

Police said that the truck has been seized after the accident. The process of sending the body to the Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College morgue for autopsy is underway.
