A gas cylinder explosion occurred at a hotel in Siddhirganj of Narayanganj District on Sunday (March 29) around 11:45 am. The explosion took place at a hotel run by a woman named Shahida in the Godnail Bagpara area. Eyewitnesses said a loud blast was heard from a gas cylinder inside the hotel, causing panic among locals. Md. Miron Mia, an official of the Fire Service and Civil Defence at Adamjee EPZ station, said a firefighting unit rushed to the scene and brought the situation under control. No casualties were reported. He added that the explosion was likely caused by a gas leak, and an investigation is underway.

নারায়ণগঞ্জের সিদ্ধিরগঞ্জে গ্যাস সিলিন্ডার বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। রোববার (২৯ মার্চ) বেলা পৌনে ১২টার দিকে উপজেলার গোদনাইল বাগপাড়া এলাকায় শাহিদা নামে এক নারীর পরিচালিত একটি হোটেলে এ বিস্ফোরণ ঘটে। প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীরা জানান, হোটেলের ভেতরে থাকা একটি গ্যাস সিলিন্ডার থেকে হঠাৎ বিস্ফোরণের শব্দ শোনা যায়। এতে আশপাশে আতঙ্ক ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। এ বিষয়ে আদমজী ইপিজেড ফায়ার স্টেশনের কর্মকর্তা মো. মিরন মিয়া জানান, খবর পেয়ে ফায়ার সার্ভিসের একটি দল ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে। তবে এ ঘটনায় কোনো হতাহতের ঘটনা ঘটেনি। তিনি আরও জানান, প্রাথমিকভাবে ধারণা করা হচ্ছে, গ্যাস সিলিন্ডার থেকে লিকেজের কারণে বিস্ফোরণ ঘটতে পারে। বিষয়টি তদন্ত করে দেখা হচ্ছে।
