Gas supply to suspend for 11-hour in parts of Dhaka Thursday

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited has announced an 11-hour gas supply suspension on Thursday (July 4), due to pipeline relocation work in various areas of Dhaka.

The affected areas include Tengra, Shanir Akhra, Demra, and nearby regions.

In a press release issued by Titas Gas on Wednesday (July 2), the company stated that the gas supply disruption is part of the ongoing DND canal excavation project, which requires relocating gas pipelines in nine canals within the Dhaka section.

According to the press release, gas will be suspended from 8:00am to 7:00pm, affecting all customer categories in areas such as Tengra, Bahir Tengra, Hajinagar, Amtala, Barabhanga, Kodaldoa, Sanarpar, Nimaikashari, Nama Shyampur, Zia Sarani, Japanese Bazar, Titas Gas Road, Chapra Mosque, Ruposhi Bangla Hospital, Shanir Akhra, RS Tower, Gobindapur, Matuail, Mridhabari, Kajla, Bhanga Bridge, Demra, Staff Quarters, Amulia, Paity, Zahir Steel, Shahriar Steel, Dharmik Para, and the Council area.

Titas Gas has also cautioned that low gas pressure may continue in these areas even after the supply suspension ends. Additionally, the company has apologized for the temporary inconvenience and advised customers to plan accordingly.
