Gazipur coil factory fire under control

A fire broke out at a coil factory in Bagher Bazar area of ​​Gazipur Sadar Upazila on Wednesday (November 19).

The fire originated at the Standard Finish Coil Factory around 12:30 pm. Upon receiving the information, two units of Rajendrapur Fire Service quickly reached the spot and started working to control the fire. Later, as the fire spread, a total of 7 units including Joydevpur and Sreepur joined the effort.

After more than two hours of effort, the fire service was able to bring the fire under control.

Eyewitnesses said that suddenly, flames and thick smoke were seen coming out of the factory, which immediately spread panic among the people of the area.

Gazipur Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Mohammad Mamun said that the cause of the fire is not yet known. However, no one was injured in the incident.
