German youth tourist Kirill stranded in Natore after losing bag
Kirill, an 18-year-old German youth, had come to Bangladesh from Germany to visit the historical structures of Bangladesh. As part of his travel, he has fallen into trouble after losing his bag upon arriving in Natore. It has been learnt that his bag has gone missing at Natore Railway Station, in which there were important personal items including an Apple laptop and a camera.
Kirill informed Views Bangladesh that he got down at Natore Station by train from Bogura around 4pm on Wednesday. Before going to withdraw money from an ATM after keeping the bag in the waiting room, he left the bag with a railway official. That official had assured him of looking after the belongings. But after withdrawing money and returning, he found neither the bag nor that official there. The bag could not be found even after much searching.
Kirill claimed that the iCloud location of his laptop was showing in the Naogaon area at 6:40pm on Wednesday. Those concerned think that the possibility of recovering the belongings has been created due to this.
After losing the bag, when he contacted the railway authorities, he was sent to Natore Sadar Police Station. He broke down in tears while waiting for assistance there for a long time.
OC of Natore Sadar Police Station Munsur Ahmed said that the incident is mainly under the jurisdiction of the railway police. However, as the victim is a foreign citizen, the matter is being viewed with the highest importance.
He informed that police have been sent there after identifying the location of the device. He expressed hope that the lost belongings including the laptop and camera will be recovered soon.
