Girl abducted, killed in father's front after gang rape in Narsingdi

A gang rape victim was kidnapped and murdered in front of her father in Narsingdi. The deceased has been identified as Amena Akhter, 15. Her body was recovered from a field in Darikandi area of ​​Mahishashura union under Madhabdi police station around 12 noon on Thursday.

The deceased Amena Akhter is the daughter of Ashraf Hossain of Bilpar area of ​​Madhabdi.

Narsingdi Additional Superintendent of Police Sujan Chandra Sarkar confirmed this.

According to family members, Ashraf Hossain lived in a rented house in the area due to his work.

The deceased's stepfather, Ashraf Hossain, alleged that about 15 days ago, a group of 5-6 people led by Noora kidnapped his daughter on her way back from office and gang-raped her. He claimed that the matter was later resolved locally under the leadership of Ahmed, a member of Ward No. 9 of Mahishasura Union Parishad.

He further alleged that when he reached the Baraitala area on his way to drop his daughter off at her aunt's house, the accused forcibly took Amena away from him on Wednesday night. She has not been found since then. The next morning, locals found her body with a veil wrapped around her neck in a mustard field and informed the police.

Upon receiving the information, the police went to the spot and recovered the body. After completing the post-mortem report, the body was sent to the morgue of Narsingdi Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

Additional Superintendent of Police Sujan Chandra Sarkar said that the body was recovered after inspecting the scene. No written complaint has been received so far. However, in addition to the complaint, the police are working to identify those possibly involved. Details will be announced after the investigation.
