Girlfriend stays put at lover’s house demands marriage after TikTok affair

From meeting on TikTok to love, then living together for a long time. Finally, a woman has taken up residence at her boyfriend's house demanding marriage. The incident took place in Purba Kakairgara village of Kakairgara union in Durgapur upazila of Netrokona.

It is known that Hindu youth Antu Chakraborty and Muslim woman Mitu Akhter met through TikTok about four years ago. After meeting, they developed a love relationship. Later, Mitu claimed that they also lived together for a long time.

Mitu Akhter said that they met in 2022. At that time, Antu was working in a garment factory in Savar. When she went there in 2024, they started living together. She claims that Antu had assured her of marriage.

She said, I had told her earlier that I had a husband and children. At that time, she said that these were not her problems. Now she is denying me.

Mitu also said that she has a son and a daughter from her previous marriage. However, she left everything and moved to Antu after getting involved in a love affair. Currently, she is staying at Antu's house demanding marriage.

On the other hand, Antu Chakraborty claims that she initially did not know that Mitu was Muslim and married. Later, after learning about the matter, she withdrew from the relationship.

She said that she had a relationship with him as a Hindu. Later, I found out that he was married and had children. So I will not marry him.

Antu's father, Ashit Chakraborty, said that his son was working outside. I did not know about this relationship there.

Some local residents say that both of them made a mistake. However, since they have been together for a long time, an attempt should be made to resolve the issue socially.

In this regard, local UP member Jamal Uddin said that an attempt will be made to resolve the issue legally with the participation of the locals.
