Gold breaks all price records in Bangladesh's history

Gold has broken all price records in the country's market for the fifth consecutive time. This time, it has increased by up to Tk3,966 per bhori. From now on, each bhori (22-carat) of gold will be sold at Tk222,082. This new price of gold will be effective from tomorrow, Tuesday, across the country.

On Monday (December 22) night, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced the increase in gold prices in a press release.

It said that the price of pure gold in the local market has increased. That is why BAJUS has decided to adjust the price of gold.

According to the new price, the price of a bhori of 21 carat gold has been increased to Tk211,993.

In addition, the price of a bhori of 18 carat gold has been set at Tk181,725 ​​while the price of a bhori of traditional gold has been set at Tk151,399.

Meanwhile, the price of silver has increased further. A 22-carat silver bhori costs Tk4,957.

The price of 21-carat silver bhori is Tk4,724 and the price of 18-carat silver bhori is Tk3,732. And the price of a traditional silver bhori has been fixed at Tk2,601.
