Gold price drops by Tk 3,266 per bhori

The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced a reduction in gold prices, with a maximum cut of Tk 3,266 per bhori including VAT. The new prices came into effect from 10:00 am on Monday, June 29.

According to BAJUS sources, the decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the organisation's 'Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring' on Monday morning after reviewing the overall situation.

Under the new price list, the highest quality 22-carat gold per bhori including VAT will now cost Tk 2,25,290. On Sunday, the price was Tk 2,28,556, meaning a reduction of Tk 3,266 per bhori.

According to the new rates, 21-carat gold per bhori including VAT has been set at Tk 2,15,142. Additionally, 18-carat gold per bhori will now be Tk 1,84,758, and traditional method gold per bhori will be Tk 1,50,932.

Silver prices have remained unchanged. 22-carat silver per bhori including VAT remains at Tk 4,666.
