Gold price drops by Tk 9,214 per bhori

After six consecutive price increases, the price of gold has finally decreased in the country's market. According to the new price, the price of a Bhori of 22 carat gold has been reduced by 9 thousand 214 taka to 2 lakh 68 thousand 214 taka. In addition, the price of 21 carat, 18 carat and traditional gold has also been adjusted accordingly.


The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) gave this information in a notification on Wednesday morning. The new price has come into effect from 10am today.


The notification said that after the price of pure gold in the local market decreased, the new price of gold has been determined considering the overall situation.


Earlier, the price of 22 carat gold was 2 lakh 77 thousand 428 taka on Tuesday (March 3). This major decline has been seen in a single day.


According to the decision of BAJUS, the price of gold in the market is reviewed and adjusted daily. Recently, the price of gold in the international market has fluctuated due to the Iran-Israel-United States conflict. The fall in the price of gold in the international market has had an impact on the local market on Tuesday .


So far this year, the price of gold has been adjusted 37 times in the domestic market. Where the price has been increased 24 times; reduced 13 times.
