Gold prices reduced again
The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has decided to reduce the price of gold again in just 6 hours.
BAJUS announced this information in a press release on Thursday (March 19) afternoon. The new price takes effect from 3:45 pm today.
After the new adjustment, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) will be Tk 2,46,927 in the domestic market. In addition, the price of 21-carat gold per bhori has been fixed at Tk 2,35,671, 18-carat gold per bhori at Tk 2,22,20 and traditional gold per bhori at Tk 1,64,521.
BAJUS last adjusted the price of gold in the domestic market today. The organization had reduced the price of a 22-carat gold per bhori by Tk 7,640 to Tk 2,54,625. In addition, the price of 21 carat gold per bhori has been fixed at Tk243,019, 18 carat gold per bhori at Tk208,319 and traditional gold per bhori at Tk169,653 which came into effect from 10 am today.
At the same time, the price of silver has also been reduced. The price of a 22 carat silver per bhori has been reduced by Tk350 to Tk5,365. In addition, the price of 21 carat silver per bhori has been fixed at Tk5,132, 18 carat silver per bhori at Tk4,432 and traditional silver per bhori at Tk3,324.
This year, the price of gold has been adjusted 45 times in the country. Where the price has been increased 26 times and reduced 19 times. The price of silver has been adjusted 29 times. Out of these, it has been increased 16 times and reduced 13 times.
