The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has announced another increase in gold prices in the domestic market, just a day after the last adjustment. According to the latest decision, the price of gold has gone up by a maximum of Tk 1,574 per bhori (11.664 grams). As a result, the price of high-quality 22-carat gold now stands at Tk 173,175 per bhori. Until Wednesday, this grade of gold was selling at Tk 171,601 per bhori.

In a notice issued on Wednesday (23 July), BAJUS said that the price hike was due to a rise in the local market value of pure (tejabi) gold. The revised prices will take effect from Thursday (24 July).

As per the new price chart, 21-carat gold is now priced at Tk 165,302 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk 141,683 per bhori, and traditional method (sanatan) gold at Tk 117,223 per bhori.

Meanwhile, silver prices remain unchanged. The price of 22-carat silver is still Tk 2,811 per bhori, 21-carat at Tk 2,683, 18-carat at Tk 2,298, and traditional silver at Tk 1,726 per bhori.

Previously, on 22 July, BAJUS last adjusted the gold prices, which came into effect on 23 July. Today's trading was based on those rates.
