Gold prices rise again in local market
Gold prices in Bangladesh have increased again within 24 hours.
The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) announced on Wednesday (March 11) that the price of 22-carat gold has been raised by Tk 2,216 per bhori, bringing it to Tk 270,430.
The new rates take effect from 10:00am.
According to BAJUS, the hike reflects rising local prices for pure gold (tejabi gold) and overall market conditions.
The new gold rates per bhori (11.664 grams) have been set at Tk 2,70,430 for 22-carat, Tk 2,58,124 for 21-carat, Tk 2,21,266 for 18-carat, and Tk 1,80,617 for gold measured using the traditional (sonaton) method.
BAJUS had previously adjusted gold prices on March 10, when 22-carat gold rose by Tk 3,266 per bhori to Tk 2,68,214.
