Popular search engine Google has honoured the Bengali community worldwide on the occasion of Bangladesh's 56th Independence Day with a special Doodle. From the early hours of Thursday, March 26, a flag-themed Doodle has been visible on Google's homepage. The Doodle features the red and green national flag of Bangladesh flying against white clouds in a blue sky. Hovering over or clicking on the Doodle reveals the text 'Bangladesh Independence Day 2026', followed by 'Greetings on Independence Day, Bangladesh' below. Since 2013, Google has been publishing such Doodles to mark special days and honour notable individuals around the world. In continuation of this, they have been regularly creating such Doodles for Bangladesh's Independence Day for the past several years.

মহান স্বাধীনতা ও জাতীয় দিবস উপলক্ষে বাংলাদেশ ও বিশ্বের বাঙালি সম্প্রদায়কে বিশেষ সম্মান জানিয়েছে জনপ্রিয় সার্চ ইঞ্জিন গুগল। ২৬ মার্চের প্রথম প্রহর থেকেই গুগলের হোমপেজে দেখা গেছে বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা দিবসকে ঘিরে তৈরি করা একটি বিশেষ ডুডল। ডুডলটিতে নীল আকাশে সাদা মেঘের ভেলায় গর্বভরে উড়তে দেখা যায় বাংলাদেশের লাল-সবুজ জাতীয় পতাকা। গুগলের এই বিশেষ শিল্পকর্মে বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতার গৌরবময় চেতনাকে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে নান্দনিকভাবে। ডুডলটির ওপর কারসর রাখলে বা ক্লিক করলে ভেসে ওঠে, বাংলাদেশ স্বাধীনতা দিবস ২০২৬ এবং এর নিচে লেখা থাকে স্বাধীনতা দিবসের শুভেচ্ছা, বাংলাদেশ! আজকের বার্ষিক ডুডলে উড়তে থাকা বাংলাদেশের জাতীয় পতাকা দেখানো হয়েছে। গুগল বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশের জাতীয় দিবস, ঐতিহাসিক ঘটনা ও বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিত্বদের স্মরণে নিয়মিত ডুডল প্রকাশ করে থাকে। সেই ধারাবাহিকতায় গত কয়েক বছর ধরেই বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা দিবসে বিশেষ ডুডল প্রকাশ করছে প্রতিষ্ঠানটি। স্বাধীনতার ৫৬তম বছরে গুগলের এই বিশেষ ডুডল এবং রাষ্ট্রীয় আয়োজনে নতুন করে উদযাপিত হচ্ছে বাঙালির গৌরব, আত্মত্যাগ ও বিজয়ের ইতিহাস।
