Noting that no country trusts BNP-led government, Jatiya Party (JaPa) Chairman GM Quader said that the BNP government will never be able to implement the Teesta Master Plan.

He said: 'The government is losing the ground beneath their feet. China, India and the US do not trust them. We welcome the announcement that Sheikh Hasina has decided to return to the country next December. She should come to the country. Her father and family have contributed a lot to this country.'

'If she comes, the existential crisis that the Awami League is going through will be resolved. If she does not come, the country will fall into great instability,' he added.

He said the words at a condolence meeting after visiting the grave of former President and Jatiya Party founding chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad in Darshana area of Rangpur city on Tuesday (July 14) afternoon. The condolence meeting and prayer mahfil were organized on the occasion of the seventh death anniversary of Hussain Muhammad Ershad.

GM Quader said, 'Different districts of the country are now submerged in flood water. The people of Banbhasi are living in extreme misery. In this situation, I am calling on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to stand by the people of Banbhasi. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, you yourself should go to those areas and see the condition of the people of Banbhasi. Just sending party leaders and ministers will not help. This government has not taken any visible steps to alleviate the suffering and hardship of the flood-affected people. Rather, the leaders of the government and opposition parties are going to the flood-affected areas and taking photo sessions.'

He said: 'I do not consider the July 24 movement a mass uprising. It was a mass movement. This movement is neither successful nor unsuccessful. It cannot be called a mass uprising. However, the mass movement of the 24th is not over yet. This movement will definitely take the form of a mass uprising one day. That day is not far off.'
