To prevent disorder in educational institutions, the government has instructed that students should no longer take part in rallies or gatherings that are unrelated to education.

The Ministry of Education on Tuesday issued a notice to all heads of educational institutions nationwide with this directive.

The Secondary and Higher Education Division has issued a notice instructing school and college heads to involve students in educational or class-related co-curricular activities.

According to the notice, it has been observed that recently, students at the school and college levels, including those in Dhaka, have been participating in meetings, rallies, and protests on issues unrelated to education. This has disrupted educational activities and negatively impacted the physical and mental well-being of young students. Furthermore, these activities have raised concerns and caused anxiety among both students and parents.

The notice emphasizes the importance of keeping students focused on education and class-related activities. It encourages their active participation in various co-curricular activities, with a sample list provided. To implement this, school heads are instructed to engage parents and take necessary steps to strengthen class activities and co-curricular programs.
