Govt forms committee to review engineering professionals’ demands
The government has formed an eight-member committee to examine the reasonableness of professional demands raised by B.Sc. and diploma holders in the engineering sector and provide recommendations.
The Cabinet Division announced this information in a notification on Wednesday (August 27).
The panel is chaired by Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, adviser to the Ministries of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Road Transport and Bridges, and Railways.
Other members include Advisers Adilur Rahman Khan, Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar, and Syeda Rizwana Hasan, along with presidents of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh, and the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh, the Chairman of the Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education, and the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration as member secretary.
The committee will submit its report to the government within one month and may co-opt additional members if needed.
The Ministry of Public Administration will provide secretarial support.
