To address the ongoing crisis at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), the government has initiated the formation of a search committee to appoint a new Vice-Chancellor (VC) and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Pro-VC). In a press release issued on Thursday, the Ministry of Education stated that the current VC and Pro-VC are being relieved of their responsibilities in an effort to restore normal academic activities at the university. To ensure uninterrupted operations, a senior professor will be appointed as Acting Vice-Chancellor during this transitional period, the release added.

চলমান সংকট সমাধানে খুলনা প্রকৌশল ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের (কুয়েট) নতুন উপাচার্য ও সহউপাচার্য নিয়োগের জন্য একটি অনুসন্ধান কমিটি গঠনের উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে সরকার। বৃহস্পতিবার (২৪ এপ্রিল) শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের এক সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানানো হয়, বর্তমান উপাচার্য ও উপ- উপাচার্যকে দায়িত্ব থেকে অব্যাহতি দেয়া হচ্ছে। যাতে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের স্বাভাবিক একাডেমিক কার্যক্রম পুনরায় চালু করা যায়। বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে আরও উল্লেখ করা হয়, এই ক্রান্তিকালীন সময়ে একজন জ্যেষ্ঠ অধ্যাপককে ভারপ্রাপ্ত উপাচার্য হিসেবে নিয়োগ দেয়া হবে।
