The government is set to issue a red notice through Interpol to bring back those involved in the mass killings of July and August, including Sheikh Hasina and the fugitives. This information was shared by the Law Affairs Adviser, Dr Asif Nazrul, with the media on Sunday morning. The notice will be issued to arrest and bring back the fugitives. Regarding the complaint made by the Awami League to the International Criminal Court (ICC), the law affairs adviser said that the ICC is unlikely to accept the complaint. He said that the Awami League’s complaint was filed solely to tarnish the government’s reputation, and there is no reason for it to be accepted.

শেখ হাসিনাসহ পলাতকদের দেশে ফিরিয়ে আনতে ইন্টারপোলের রেড নোটিশ জারি করতে যাচ্ছে সরকার। রোববার (১০ নভেম্বর) আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনালের পুরাতন ভবনের সংস্কারকাজ পরিদর্শন শেষে সাংবাদিকদের এ কথা জানান আইন উপদেষ্টা ড. আসিফ নজরুল। তিনি বলেন, দেশের মর্যাদা ক্ষুণ্ণ করতে আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ আদালতে সরকারের বিরুদ্ধে ভিত্তিহীন অভিযোগ দাখিল করেছে আওয়ামী লীগ। যা সরকার আমলে নিচ্ছে না। এসময় আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনালের চিফ প্রসিকিউটর মোহাম্মদ তাজুল ইসলাম বলেন, সরকার সিদ্ধান্ত জানালেই দল হিসেবে আওয়ামী লীগের বিচারের পদক্ষেপ নেয়া হবে।
