The government has strongly denied allegations that it is concealing the actual number of casualties in the recent plane crash at Milestone School and College.

A Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet crashed on the school premises in the capital, causing several deaths and injuries. The Press Wing of the Chief Adviser’s Office said in a press release on Tuesday morning that the government is providing full support to the victims and their families.

Efforts are ongoing to identify all deceased and injured persons. For bodies not yet identified, DNA testing is underway. Injured victims are receiving the best possible medical treatment at various hospitals in Dhaka.

“We categorically reject claims that casualty figures are being hidden,” the statement said, emphasizing that the government, military, school authorities, and hospitals are working together to prepare a complete and accurate list of victims.

The public is urged to contact the school authorities immediately if anyone remains missing. A control room has been set up at the school, and all school records are being reviewed to verify missing persons’ information.
