The government has sent Planning Commission member Suleman Khan on forced retirement. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday (10 December). It said Suleman has completed 25 years of service and the government considers it necessary to retire him from government service in public interest. Therefore, he has been retired from government service under the powers granted under Section 45 of the "Government Service Act, 2018". He will get retirement benefits as per the rules, added the notification. Earlier, the interim government had also sent several other secretaries on compulsory retirement.

জনস্বার্থ বিবেচনায় পরিকল্পনা কমিশনের সদস্য (সচিব) সোলেমান খানকে সরকারি চাকরি থেকে অবসরে পাঠানো হয়েছে৷ মঙ্গলবার (১০ ডিসেম্বর) জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয়ের এক প্রজ্ঞাপনে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে। এতে সই করেছেন উপসচিব জামিলা শবনম। প্রজ্ঞাপনে বলা হয়েছে, যেহেতু পরিকল্পনা কমিশনের সদস্য (সচিব) সোলেমান খান (৫৭১৮) এর চাকরিকাল ২৫ (পঁচিশ) বছর পূর্ণ হয়েছে এবং যেহেতু সরকার জনস্বার্থে তাকে সরকারি চাকরি থেকে অবসর প্রদান করা প্রয়োজন মর্মে বিবেচনা করে; সেহেতু সরকারি চাকরি আইন, ২০১৮ এর ৪৫ ধারার প্রদত্ত ক্ষমতাবলে তাকে সরকারি চাকরি থেকে অবসর প্রদান করা হলো। এতে আরও বলা হয়েছে, তিনি বিধি অনুযায়ী অবসরজনিত সুবিধাদি প্রাপ্য হবেন। জনস্বার্থে জারিকৃত এ আদেশ অবিলম্বে কার্যকর হবে।
