Govt takes strong security measures ahead of Nov 13: Home Adviser

The government has stepped up security ahead of November 13, with increased patrolling and restrictions on open fuel sales, Home Affairs Adviser Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said on Tuesday (November 11).

Speaking after a law-and-order advisory meeting at the Secretariat, Jahangir Alam urged the public to report any suspicious individuals to law enforcement immediately.

“No leniency will be shown to terrorists. Security measures are in place for the November 13 Awami League program,” he said.

He added that preparations for the upcoming election are largely complete, and a rehearsal will be conducted once final arrangements are done.

The adviser also condemned recent attacks on trains in Bhairab and buses, calling the perpetrators criminals who will be dealt with decisively.
