Govt to bear responsibility of martyrs families: Nahid

Information advisor Nahid Islam said that it is the government's responsibility to take care of the families of the martyrs in the uprising of students and provide other facilities.

He said this while meeting the family of late Md. Ramzan Ali, who was shot dead by the police during the uprising of the students and the crowd at the office of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the Bangladesh Secretariat on Thursday.
The advisor said, we got new Bangladesh in exchange for their blood as the students took the streets during the uprising. We are alive because of the martyrs, we have regained freedom of speech.
Information Advisor inquired about the family of late Ramzan Ali. He promised to provide monthly allowance and other facilities to all the martyrs including them. Shaheed Ramzan's father and younger sister were present during the meeting with the adviser.
It is to be noted that Ramzan Ali used to studying degree at Singair upazila of Natore. He worked at a fish market in Baipal area to support the entire family. He took part in the anti-discrimination student movement and was shot dead by the police on 5 August.
