Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, adviser to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, has assured that the government is fully committed to ensuring safe and smooth travel for holidaymakers ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

In a statement posted on his verified Facebook profile, the adviser announced that the Ministry of Railways will add extra train carriages to manage the expected increase in passenger numbers during the Eid rush.

“To ensure smooth and uninterrupted Eid travel, the interim government has already held an inter-ministerial meeting,” he stated.

Shojib further mentioned that the government has taken comprehensive steps to address common concerns of travellers, including fare manipulation, extortion, and theft across road, rail, and water transport networks.

Reaffirming the government's dedication, he said that just as during Eid-ul-Fitr, all necessary measures are being implemented to guarantee the safety, comfort, and overall well-being of those returning home to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha.
