Various government ministry and department websites, including the Prime Minister's Office, have returned to normal after being inaccessible for nearly an hour and a half. Users faced difficulties accessing the websites from 10:30am on Wednesday, but they became functional again around 11:45am.

During the outage, users repeatedly failed to access the websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and the Press Information Department (PID). Screens displayed 'Error 503 Backend fetch failed' and 'Guru Meditation' messages.

Not only these websites, but several others under the government's gov.bd domain also experienced similar errors.

However, around 11:45am, the websites became usable again and access returned to normal.

Regarding the issue, Rehan Asif Asad, Adviser to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Science and Technology, said the source of the problem had been identified. He said the error was caused by a power-related issue. The situation was quickly normalised and services have been restored.
