Govt will take steps if Khaleda Zia is to be sent abroad for treatment: Foreign Adviser
Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain said the government will take necessary measures to send BNP chairperson and former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia abroad for treatment if her party or family decides to do so.
He made the remarks while speaking to reporters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, December 2.
Touhid Hossain said the government will arrange all required procedures if the family or the party decides to send Khaleda Zia abroad.
Regarding the BNP’s acting chairman, he said Tarique Rahman has not yet applied for a travel pass to return to the country. He added that a travel pass will be issued if he applies.
The adviser also said the government has not received any formal communication regarding Tarique Rahman’s return to Dhaka.
