Govt won’t make new appointment of general Ansar
The government has said that no new appointment will be made as general Ansar for the time being.
At the same time, all general Ansar members have been called upon to return to their workplaces and join the work.
It has also been warned that the government will not hesitate to take legal action against the instigator if necessary.
A notice signed by Senior secretary for Home Affairs Mohammad Abdul Momen was issued in this regard on Saturday.
According to the notice, the chief adviser has been informed about the demands of the general Ansar. The demands raised by the general Ansar have been reviewed by the government with keen attention and sympathy.
"Initially some of the claims appeared reasonable. In view of this, the government has taken a decision. For example, in the case of general Ansars who are given rest after 3 years of service, the issue of continuing service without rest will be examined. For the time being, no new appointment will be made as General Ansar," it added.
A committee headed by the Director General of Ansar and VDP along with representatives of general Ansar will review all the demands raised by general Ansar and formulate logical recommendations and submit a report to the government within 7 working days.
Mentioning that Ansar VDP is a well-disciplined force and no one should do anything that tarnishes the reputation and image of this traditional well-disciplined force, the notice called upon all general Ansar members to return to their workplaces and join the work.
Through this, the government believes that a logical and acceptable solution to the demands of the Ansars will be found, it added.
