Grid disaster in Khulna: Committee to submit report within 7 working days

An 8-member investigation committee has been formed due to the grid disaster that occurred on the evening of April 26 in the Khulna region. The committee will investigate the cause of the grid disaster and submit the report with recommendations to the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources within the next seven working days. This was announced at a press conference in the meeting room of the ministry on Sunday.

The committee will investigate the cause of the grid disaster. In this case, if there is any person or institution responsible for the grid disaster, they will be identified. At the same time, the committee will make recommendations to prevent such grid disasters in the future.

The members of the committee are - BUET Deputy Vice Chancellor Abdul Hasib Chowdhury, convener of the committee. Among the members are - BUET Professor Dr. Md. Ehsan, Khulna Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Firoz Shah, Rural Electrification Board Member (P&D) Shahidul Islam, OZPADICO Chief Engineer (Operations) Abdul Majid, BABUBO Theoretical Engineer Atiqur Rahman, PGCB Chief Engineer, Transmission-1 Faizul Kabir and Member Secretary Power Division Senior Assistant Secretary Mazharul Islam.
