Gulshan and Banani Police Stations get new OCs

New officers-in-charge (OCs) have been appointed to Gulshan and Banani police stations under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). In the same order, the current OC of Banani Police Station, Md. Faridul Islam, has been transferred to the DMP’s Detective Branch (DB).

The information was disclosed in an office order signed by DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed on Wednesday (September 23).

According to the order, Abuzayed Md. Nazmun Nur, who was recently transferred to the DMP, has been appointed as the new OC of Gulshan Police Station. Md. Salauddin has been appointed as the OC of Banani Police Station.

The appointments were made as part of changes to the officers previously serving at the two police stations. After assuming their duties, the new OCs will oversee law and order, crime control and citizen services in their respective areas.

Meanwhile, Banani Police Station OC Md. Faridul Islam has been transferred to the DMP’s Detective Branch. The office order also specifies his new assignment.

The order said the appointments and transfer were made as part of an organisational reshuffle within the DMP.
